Our busy binders were a constant companion to our curriculum last year (see our Kindergarten Busy Binder), and I don’t see this year being any different. I can’t wait to show you all the fun things packed into our first grade busy binder!
Busy binders continue to be one of my favorite ways to keep hands on learning tools organized. As a household sans homeschool room, there are no free walls for bulletin boards and the like. Our binders hold our most loved resources and learning tools right at our fingertips. It’s like a compact, interactive, mobile bulletin board!
For first grade we’ll be focusing on expanding Squeaks math and reading skills, along with a fun exploration into the human body, introducing Latin, and so much more! (You can read about our first grade curriculum picks here.) So with our goals in mind, I’ve created our first grade busy binder, or at least the start of it. The great thing is we can add to it throughout the year!
Let’s take a look at what’s in our first grade busy binder (so far).

I’ve looked through your amazon storefront but haven’t been able to find reference to your wooden art supply storage thing with the crayons, markers, etc. Can you share where you found that? TY!

Hi Nicole! I found that at Hobby Lobby. ๐
