Confession: science is my least favorite subject to teach. I’m sure this stems from the line of wretchedly boring science teachers I had in school, but the effects have been long-lasting. So when I have the opportunity to make science more accessible, visual, and frankly, pretty, I’m gonna do it. When it comes to Earth science, it’s easy to do!
God’s power and creativity is so easily seen in the world around us. From the perfect placement of our planet, just far enough from the sun, to the planet’s precise rotation. The fingerprints of our intelligent and loving God are everywhere.
I’m excited to share these newest activities because they’re really quite humbling. Earth’s layers, from core to exosphere are fascinating! To think about how perfectly God orchestrated our world is such a huge reminder of our dependence on His grace and provision.

Earth’s Atmospheric Layers:
Learning about the layers of Earth’s atmosphere is fun and engaging with this hands-on printable activity set! Your student can assemble the puzzle style page by placing each layer of Earth’s atmosphere in the right space. While they do the activity page, together you can discuss the info-packed vocabulary page, enjoy the included mini poster, and learn Psalm 74:16-17 together. “Yours is the day, yours also the night; you have established the heavenly lights and the sun. You have fixed all the boundaries of the earth; you have made summer and winter.” There’s even an add-on coloring page option to keep little hands busy during the lesson!
